Exciting start to 2015… The collection is heading to the Fine Art Museum of San Francisco.

I am delighted to announce that the collection has been chosen to compliment the Fine Art Museum of San Francisco’s Botticelli to Braque exhibition opening in March. Below are more details of the exhibition.

Botticelli to Braque: Masterpieces from the National Galleries of Scotland

March 7, 2015 – May 31, 2015

HERBST SPECIAL EXHIBITION GALLERIES
Spanning more than 400 years of artistic production, this exhibition includes works by many of the greatest painters from the Renaissance to the early 20th century. Some, including Sandro Botticelli’s Virgin Adoring the Sleeping Christ Child (ca. 1490), have never before been seen in the United States. This presentation includes 55 works from the three institutions that form the National Galleries of Scotland: the Scottish National Gallery, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.

WHAT A START TO 2015…..

I started the season with CRAFT in London on the 11-13 January and ended the month at Modefabriek in Amsterdam – the second Taisir Gibreel brand footfall in Europe.

Craft was a huge success, with new stockists across the UK for Spring/Summer as well as Autumn/Winter, so watch this space. It was fantastic to catch up with all my loyal stockists who have been with me over the years and to meet many new enthusiastic stockists. Amsterdam was a blast, I will definitely be heading back there again.

I was really excited if not a tad bit nervous about my new “Culture Mix” collection, a new direction that celebrates both the Scottish heritage of the brand with elements of tartan as well as my cultural mixed background. So far there has been a really positive response to the new prints and the silk tops. Here is a sneak peak of what is to come for Autumn/Winter 2015.
